Skip Broadway and enjoy an afternoon of free live theater at The Ferguson Library, as M&M Productions Acting Company presents the witty and entertaining comedy “Almost, Maine,” on Saturday, April 21 at 2 p.m. at the Main Library, Bedford & Broad Streets, Stamford.

As the northern lights hover in the sky, residents of the mythical town “Almost” find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways.

Babysitting Certification Class

Teens can upgrade their babysitting skills and earn official American Red Cross certification to babysit newborns through age seven. Chris Crain, program director of the South Western Connecticut Agency on Aging, will make sense of the government-run health insurance programs on Thursday, April 19 at 6 p.m. at The Main Library, Bedford & Broad Streets, Stamford.

The program, “Traveling Africa,” will be held at The Ferguson Library’s Harry Bennett Branch, 115 Vine Road, on Wednesday, April 18 at 6 p.m.

As part of an ongoing program to promote traditional Chinese culture, The Ferguson Library is offering an origami craft on Sunday, April 15 at 2 p.m. in the Main Library’s Third Floor Auditorium.

Participants will learn how to make a paper lotus flower pendant for a bookmark. The lotus flower represents long life, health, honor and good luck. This program is free for adults, and families are welcome.
