Membership Has Its Privileges; “Mars: The Red Planet” Planetarium Show Free For Stamford Museum and Nature Center Members ($3 For Adults, $2 For Kids 5-17 Nonmembers) Friday January 8 @ 7PM

Do you have a kid at home with stars in his/her eyes?  Our wonderful local treasure, the Planetarium at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center, offers star-gazing and enlightening lectures about our night skies on Friday nights free for members and nearly free ($3, $2) for nonmembers.  Tomorrow night – Friday January 8th – the planetarium show features Mars: The Red Planet

“Come join us for a NEW exciting series of astronomy programs! Start by enjoying a presentation on a variety of fun and interesting topics, followed by a visit to view the night sky through our 22-inch telescope.

Why is Mars “red”? How long is a Martian day? Does Mars have seasons? This program will answer your questions about the planet Mars, explain why it is the most Earth-like planet in the Solar System, and tell you where you can find it in the night sky.

7:00 – Open House
7:30 – Presentation (rain or shine)
